LIFE COACHING

What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a continuous partnership that is intended to help you achieve results in your personnal life. It aims to obtain solutions and strategies on your part in order to bring you overall happiness. You are naturally creative and full of resources.

Therefore, coaching work is to sustain you in your personnal life and to highlight the competencies, resources and creativity you already possess. In short, the main objective is to increase your level of happiness and personal wellbeing. 

Why hire a life coach?

A life coach can help a person who has an isolated or a recurrent problem (interpersonal relations, stress; emotional health; new responsibilities or help you through a less happy part of your life). The coach will help you to attain the personal objectives that you are not able to achieve. He can also help those who have achieved their objectives, who are able to go further, but who did not succeed.

A life coach may help those who are taking a new bend in their lives or experimenting changes and want a coach to help them to understand meanings of thoses changes. Those changes may be of different natures, such as the departure of a close friend or a spouse, taking important new responsabilities, to work out with negative emotions or a bad behavior coming from a dependancy.

Life coaching may target a specific perception of a person facing important event for her and on how to succeed, anticipate and avoid obstacles. Thus the coachee can concentrate on his personal development and aspire to greater happiness. The person benefiting from life coaching gains self-confidence and becomes happier.

An aging person may experiment enriched life and may also contribute to family circle and society, when retirement period is there. Then how to proceed to share passions of our lives with others? An aging person may experiment less happy moments because of his (her) decreasing capacities. Life coaching will help you discover new ways to work out with those situations and to continue to live enriching experiences.

Life coaching: How does it work?

The request for an intervention may come from the client. It may come from a person who wishes coaching for another person, who agrees to be involved in this approach.

The sequence of events in life coaching begins with an exploratory meeting with the client in order to identify the coaching needs of the person, using a developmental objectives format. From improving overall wellness to help you in your pursuit of happiness: various objectives can be set. A specific analysis is done about the environment of the person and their internal cognitions in order to identify strenghts and improvement ways according to developmental objectives.

The second interview with the coachee allows for the discernment of specific and evident criteria that will help to achieve the developmental objective. A suggested plan of action is presented to the client, indicating duration and frequency of the life coaching sessions. Thereafter, it is time to carry out the life coaching sessions with tasks’ accomplishment between sessions. A closing session bringing together all progress achieved in the coaching process is held, by consolidating acquisitions. The coachee will notice his (her) personal achievement and its after-effect on our overall wellness.

How much does a life coaching consultation cost?

A coaching session is $110 per one hour session. A half an hour coaching sessions is $150 maximum. Sessions cancelled unilaterally will be billed. Receipts for insurances are available.
